OUR MISSION

Each year, the company aims to stage an entertaining production performed by the youth of our community (youth being defined as Grade 3 Primary students through to 30 year olds).

Our goal is to provide our youth with a safe and encouraging environment to gain theatrical experience whilst installing a sense of community that upholds Christian values.

We support our local community, like Mambourin, to attend shows at a reduced cost.  This is at the discretion of the committee.

I like the adrenaline rush before you go on.
But also the people who you go on with, because you have to have so much trust in the other cast to do their parts.
Feels like a family.

- Luke Robinson

WHO WE ARE:

St. Andrew's Amateur Theatre Company was first formed in 2009 by founders Christopher and Margot O'Malley, in conjunction with St. Andrew's Parish Priest Fr. Frank Buhagiar and a core group of parishioners. Our first production was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

There are many facets of the St. Andrew's Amateur Theatre Company, all vital to ensuring the show is a success. We welcome community involvement in a variety of areas including performers, musicians, set design/builders, scenic artists, costume designers/sewers, lighting designers, production team personnel, local business sponsors and promoters. St. Andrew's Amateur Theatre Company's success is due to the community emphasis and supportive nature of all who contribute to a show.
